Anne has used the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) as a reliable source of assessment and development more than thirty years. The MBTI is a widely used, and validated, psychological instrument that identifies individual preferences for perceiving and processing information, making decisions, and relating to the world around us.
Based on the works of psychologist Carl Jung, this tool was developed 60 years ago by Isabel Myers and Katherine Briggs, and is used today by organizations throughout the world.
The MBTI is an extremely effective tool to help individuals understand their own personalities and behaviors, as well as those of others in their work or personal environment.
Each person is “hard wired” to behave in certain ways – these are natural preferences for interacting, leading, working on teams, managing conflict, responding to stress and creating relationships. In the workplace, this can greatly enhance communication, reduce conflict and improve team performance, as well as increase individual impact and effectiveness.
The MBTI provides individuals with the ability to respond appropriately to others, to maximize their strengths, and to identify and develop their less preferred capabilities.
