 Automatic habits of mind don’t change just because we want them to. We can tell ourselves to focus or calm down, but the brain falls back into old patterns unless we retrain it. Many people blame this on ADHD or a personal flaw, when the real issue is that the brain needs practice, structure, and new neural pathways. Mindfulness builds exactly that. It strengthens focus, improves emotional regulation, and trains your mind to stay present rather than react on autopilot.

What is Mindfulness

Mindfulness is often reduced to sitting on a cushion with your eyes closed, yet true mindfulness is much broader and more practical than meditation alone. 


It is the ongoing practice of bringing your attention back to the present moment, noticing your thoughts, emotions, and body without judgment, and responding with intention instead of reacting on autopilot. 


Mindfulness in everyday life means learning to stay present in conversations, feel your feelings without being swept away by them, and notice the habits of mind that keep you anxious, distracted, or shut down.


 It is a way of engaging with your life that gradually rewires your brain for greater calm, clarity, and choice.

Start Date: Friday, January 16th, 2026 (12 pm)
Format: Live weekly virtual sessions (recordings available)

Group Size: Group limited to 6 people

  • MBSR & CBT practices 
  • 6 Training modules to increase understanding
